We have used both Salt Terminator or Salt Away on our boats for years. Run it thru the engine cooling system when flushing and spray down the exterior to chemically reduce the impact of salt water & salt air. Nothing is magic but these help.

I thought getting old would take longer.

It split too much to repair. I taped the edges and rubber coated the problem area. Most likely will have to do the entire edge.

I had the edge coming off the shelf just inside the door above where we store the Porta Poti. Tried hairdryer and the re-glue fixes. Did not hold. However at Lowe's they sell angled pieces of aluminum that fit perfect over the edge. Cut a piece to length and used small wood screws. Looks fine and actually protects the edge.

Also I know it's weird but two of the hinges on a pull down door in the storage over the side dinettte rusted??? Man they rusted to where I had remove the screws to open. It's weird because not exposed to any water? Lowe's to the rescue again... they have exact replacements.

2015 Fleet on my 2014 Tacoma. I camped almost every weekend/long wkend in 2015 and 2016, then lived in it all of October 2016, and Dec 2016 - May 2017. Love it!

Only a couplea things: furnace stopped working in the spring. Was a faulty igniter board, which apparently isn't terribly uncommon with these Atwood furnaces. That said, I love my heater! I stopped at an RV shop somewhere in Indiana, and they knew the issue, had to get the part, so I camped in their lot for two days. Easy fix once they had the part.

The door locked me inside and I couldn't unlock it! That was the top lock. I had to climb out the emergency window, then take apart the door lock. I only use the deadbolt now. :-) Oh, also, the screws that hold the latch in on the camper side where the door lock lines up comes loose on occasion. I should probably put some loctite on those screws.

I have had three turnbuckles break - all on the same driver's side turnbuckle. I assume the camper puts more stress on that corner and that's why they break, but why is it putting more stress on that corner? Hmmmm.

AT replaced a bad solar controller. Apparently, FWC has changed away from those controllers.

(I want to upgrade my solar controller and add more solar to my set-up.)

Looks like a List, but really nothing big deal except my solar issues which have been a PITA. I think the fridge draws too much and my 160 solar isn't handling it well. Maybe I'll get myself a solar panel for a present.

I love my camper. It stays on my truck full-time and I camp as often as possible.

Since I moved to Missouri, I haven't camped much and that makes me sad.

2014 Tacoma DCLB + 2015 FWC Fleet

As I get braver I get stronger, and as I get stronger I get braver. It’ a good cycle.

I'm so anal I'd buy them and clear coat them.  :D

Just did a once-over on my 2016 Hawk and the only noticeable rust that I am seeing is on the two little hinges on the back side of the metal cover on the stove top. Kind of weird but they look like very cheap hinges and I suppose that could be a wet spot on occasion. Not someplace that gets a lot of wipe down to be honest however.
