^ Beauty. Thanks for posting this. I think it's a dynamite option for those looking outside storage. Oh ! to have access to a milling machine .

Look like you have a a rigid lip under the camper sides. We used cove base as a inexpensive "seal" against the folding side. Different set up but just a fwiw idea for gaps.
Nothing is designed or intended to be at all water proof or resistant. Just a method to store and keep majority of debris out.

Is the Taco frame stiff enough to not be concerned about flex translating into the camper?

maybe, maybe not? Its no different than the tacoma bed it was mounted to before?

So we got a bit more work done.
Framed out for the rear storage box/wheel well.

Have a sheet of 1/8 on the way, will be making the other side frame, backs and doors, then moving on to the front boxes.

Driver side rear storage box is built. Have to put the hinge on and latches for the door.
Other side tub is built, but not installed yet. Will be finishing up next week after work over a few days.
