In light of the tarriffs being placed on overseas solar panels, this is good news:

First Solar is doubling their output with a new plant.

Speaking of tariffs, Truck Camper Magazine just did an interesting article on the effects the new steel and aluminum tariffs are going to have.

 

If I understand the article correctly, raw materials used by American manufacturers are going to get more expensive, but FINISHED PRODUCTS made overseas aren't affected.  Making it more expensive to BUY AMERICAN.

 

Ah, well, nobody ever said that government actions had to make sense . . .

TC magazine also suggested buying now to avoid price increases as the result of tariffs, however I believe the increases have already taken place with some manufacturers.
