Another fine report. I love the Ebbetts Pass area, have been camping there since 1965.

Thanks Ski. Highland Lakes is also one of our favorites.
It's just a simple place with great scenery.
We just got back from that pass today.
Came past your friends cabin and they were gone. I always look for you there after your first time talking about it.
The Wolf Creek fine foods if you remember was the Cutthroat Saloon, I used to stop there when the days fishing was over at Heenen.
It was a very interesting place than. It had a ceiling full of bras,all sizes,colors and shapes.
It's nice to see Markleeville is still a nice place. Many fond memories of the town.

Can't beat that.
Nice trip report, as always. Sorry it ended with the sight of smoke near home. That's an uncomfortable feeling.
