Hay Street Cafe may be closing, but according to Yelp the best restaurant in america is just down the road in Big Pine. It's not like I need an excuse to head that way, but a road trip that way just got me adjusting my timing.....

Hmmm... I usually think of Big Pine as "that town just south of where I head east to Westguard Pass", and where I stop to fuel the truck if I forgot to in Bishop.
Maybe I should stop there for fuel for me next time....savory, spicy, greasy fuel!

I'm still full from Mountain View BBQ in Walker when I get to Big Pine.
Someday we'll give this a try.

It's pretty good, but if you're from South Carolina you probably won't be impressed. But by west coast standards,,, well, you tell me.
