My table is old (original)and had chips, knife marks, etc. I want to try and keep this as original looking as possible, so with a little research the internet thought and maybe just maybe a rum or two,I filled and sanded the top, used a blending marker then put 7 coats of min wax over the table with a foam brush and a cloth. It is again smooth and sealed, looks ok, great and perfect no, usable yes. durable? ask in five years.
