More acoustic listening thanks to the miracle of 50+ year old TV reruns.
The Darling family make another appearance on the Andy Griffith show, featuring the real life bluegrass group, The Dillards, performing "Doug's Tune" in this excerpt from the episode:

Well, Mr. Sage, if you are feeling old this ought to perk ya up............with a decidedly western flair.

That's nice! Miss Laurie is pretty doggone good.
Here's some more western flavor. From one of the locals here in town.
Edit: Joni writes the majority of her music, a lot of which ties back to Oregon, and to her family. She travels with a good size western band, but almost every year she comes back to do a solo performance in our 'Slice of Summer' festival. A nice lady.

I guess I'm an old guy myself. All our Kate Wolf recordings are on vinyl and my wife and I first heard Laurie Lewis back in the late seventies/early eighties when she played regularly at a pizza parlor with a band called "The Good Old Persons."
But, if it is not too presumptuous for a newcomer I would like to broaden our definition of acoustic music a bit:
