We have camped approximately 35 nights since we got our camper last August. On Saturday we discovered the push button on our Thetford Curve Porta Potti was not working. You could hear the pump when you pushed the button but no water was filling the bottom of the bowl. Yesterday I contact Thetford and the customer service person told me it sounded like the tube had pulled loose from the pump and that it was a fairly easy fix. After explaining what to do, I pulled the toilet out, removed the battery pack, and pulled the pump. The opening into the fresh water tank was too small to get my hand in and the tube was too short to be able to get the end out of the toilet to re-connect. So today I called back and spoke to the same person. Thetford is sending me a brand new Curve Porta-Potti. I asked if I should send the old one back in the box and she said no keep it for parts. Outstanding customer service. I called a Thetford service place in Indiana to get the tube re-connected and they wanted over $90, which was 2/3 of what I paid for the unit to begin with. Having parts will be just fine, and another toilet for use.
