I everyone.
I just ordered my new Cougar from Ben and couldn't be happier with the customer service that these guys provide. I think anyone who is considering a 4 Wheel camper would be wise to check out what they have to offer.
Ben, I appreciated all your help and insight when it came to choosing what options best fitted my needs.

Marc,

Thank you for the kind words and the order. I am sure you will be happy with your camper and our customer service for years to come.

Congratulations on being the first post on our new forum also.:):)

Sincerely,

Ben

Congrats on your order Marc! You will have to post some photos once you pick it up. What kind of truck do you have?

My cougar will be mounted on a White "07" F350 standard cab diesel 4x4. This is my dream set-up. I previously had a "97" F250 xtended cab long bed 4x4 with a 8ft. NCO Alaskan on it. This was a good rig but I wanted a shorter wheel base and a lighter overall pkg.
I will post some pics as soon as it is ready.

We will be getting some more photos posted to the website as we finish building this rash of orders that we have just received. I know it is lacking some interior photos for the Cougar and the Bobcat and I apologize for that.

The site is being built as we are so to speak. I try to add a little each week as I get more requests for more information.

Sincerely,

Ben

Marc,

I was looking at pictures on the ATC site and I came across this picture of your setup.

How do you like the mounting location of the Hi-Lift jack?
Is yours the 60" All-Cast?
What other options do you have... Loc-Rac? Off-Road Base? Lift-Mate?

Sorry for so many questions. :o

Mike

It is the 48" Cast, I have the off road base and wheel strap. All in all the set up works preatty well. I also have a shovel attached to it by using rubber fist clamps that I bought from Expeditions West.

Per this thread http://www.wanderthe...hread.php?t=236 Post #9

marty here. it is true that jeff and myself were the prime builders of the weekend warrior eagle camper. and jeff in fact did weld lots of extra channel stock into the frame to support the gas cans. it is my opinion that the standard frame will in fact come apart if you use it to support that much weight. sorry for not having better news for you. the high lift jack is also held in place with bolts going threw extra channel. the same for the sand ladders he has for it. happy new year

, we do not recommend hanging that much weight off the back wall of the camper.

I have finally got it through my thick skull... stop asking Ben to mount stuff on the back wall. :o

Mike

EDIT: Even if I pushed Ben to install the jack, "... the jack will not fit because of the outside furnace cover on the camper."
