Well after six years with a Hawk we went with a new Lance 650. It is going to be quite an adjustment. I was real used to low roof height and light weight. The new lance is about 12 feet to the top of the AC. Weighs 1850 or so with water and gas. But the wife wanted an enclosed bathroom and shower, more room and a few other things.

Time will tell how it goes. I do pull a Jeep and this new model does not extend beyond the bumper so no new attachments needed to pull my toad. I am going to be more circumspect when hitting the forest service roads and going on forest service roads to my dispersed camping spots.

It'll be interesting to see your perspective on the comparison of traveling with a tall hardside vs. a pop up.  I imagine daily living it it will probably be a little easier, but probably an adjustment driving.  As Happyjax said, watch out for those bridges!

The Lance site pictures of the interior are good. The only thing not in mine is the microwave. Wanted more free cabinets. I also had a solar panel put on.
