I bought the Ultimate Campgrounds app for my cell phone.  Great resource except a lot of places we all go don't have cell service.  So I went back to the UC website, bought their POI database and followed the instructions.  This is a CSV file which opens up as a spreadsheet.  I edited out all the states I won't be going to in the forseeable future and the types of campgrounds I'm not seeking (boat-in, cabins,etc). Then, still following the directions carefully, I converted the file to a different format and copied it to the MAPS.ME app on my Kindle Fire.  Now I have an off-line resource for locating those out-of-the-way campgrounds without cell service.  Pretty slick.

Thanks for the suggestion. I purchased it and imported into my garmin GPS and it works great😎
