Looking for a replacement for our 4" center-set kitchen faucet, similar to the one pictured below, currently held together by Krazy glue (still works fine, it's just that I never loved it and would prefer something else). We definitely need something that mixes hot/cold and would prefer a pull-out spout.

In general I prefer single-lever handle faucets (it's what we have in our non-mobile home), but I suppose there are pros/cons to single-lever vs separate hot and cold taps. I'm thinking it would be easier (especially for kids) and more water efficient to mix hot/cold with a single lever.

Does anyone have something that they'd recommend? Durability is important, too. We've got twin 4 year olds so anything not durable is doomed...

There are a couple of manufacturers that make similar models, but I can not find anything with a single lever. The 4" spacing for galley faucets was never popular and was lived.

I ended up Krazy gluing our old faucet escutcheon ring back together and it limped along for 2 years before breaking again. Kids are tough on cheap parts. I looked for new faucets to fit our 2-hole, 4" on center setup and still nothing worth buying. A few industrial laundry sink faucets and some high-rise bar faucets that won't fit under the cabinets when the roof comes down. Nothing of decent quality that will work as a simple swap-out. So I just glued the ring back together again (sketchier looking this time) and bought a Phoenix RV faucet from the local RV supply to carry along in case of emergency (it weighs nothing since it's made of crappy cheap plastic). But I really don't want to put that piece of sh*t into our rig. At least our current faucet is made of metal, though for lord knows what reason the escutcheon ring is cheap plastic.

Our sink is integral in the counter and is drilled for 2-hole, 4" on center. I'm thinking about drilling more holes so I can install an actual kitchen sink faucet, maybe even with a side sprayer. Has anyone done anything like this, particularly in a Hallmark? I find it hard to believe EVERYBODY is happy enough to live with their crappy truck camper sink faucet...

Four inch center faucets are popular for bar and utility sinks but finding one with a single control and pull put nozzle will be difficult.  Have you looked at commercial plumbing supply houses?

 

My FWC does not have an electric water pump so I use a faucet with an integrated pump.  When that faucet dies, I'll likely convert to a foot pump and install one of these:

I have a T&S faucet for the patio sink and a Fischer faucet in the laundry room and both units are built so well.  No frills, easy to service, and should last many many years.

 

As for drilling holes in your countertop to fit an 8" faucet or spray nozzle, that should be easy.  Just take a look under the counter before doing so to make sure there aren't any wires or gas lines.

I used a standard Kohler single handle / single hole kitchen faucet and installed a soap dispenser in the second hole. These faucets are available in different reaches so now the outlet is centered in the sink. The original FWC faucet outlet was too close to the back edge of the sink resulting in counter flooding.

Fishyhead - interesting, the "Websteraunt" web site with its T&S options came up right away when I did an internet search (particularly this one, with an 8"swing spout like our current faucet: https://www.webstaur...600FD48BLL.html), but I was scared away by the CA prop 65 warning (specifically lead) - we have twin 7 yr olds and that kind of thing spooks me.

Looks like the only thing a self-respecting truck camper tinkerer could do at this point is start drilling. But knowing myself to be the lazy bastard that I am I will probably just fasten the original metal spout back down with the Frankenstein'd plastic escutcheon ring and see how long that will hold before I'm forced to limp back into town with the Pheonix temporary fix and then roll up my sleeves and do a respectable fix.

Basically all consumer products have CA Prop-65 warnings on products to comply with our laws.

 

For plumbing fixtures, they meet federal Safe Drinking Water laws regardless of what CA says.

This faucet is similar to the one we have on our dometic smev sink which has a couple of nice features. First the faucet folds down and Second the handle operates the pump so you don't have to use the cabinet side switch.
