I don't miss these days at all. :) Walk behind that is. This competition is fun, and nice cold snow for blowing.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! A steam powered snow blower pushed by a steam engine. Why is watching this sooooo satisfying?

Nothing like the steam rotary snow blower.

I always like to watch the D&RGW blowers doing the Durango to Silverton run.

They used to do winter passenger runs. What a treat.

Yes that's also a beautiful ride.Made those rides during the summer.

It would to nice take a winter trip though.

Being a big steam fan we traveled to some great places to ride/watch the trains.

I really like the Durango & Silverton and the Cumbres & Toltec.

The rail yard at Chama is very interesting to roam through.

Just watching those inside frame locomotives is so cool.

They were built in Philadelphia by Baldwin Locomotive works.

During WW II some were sent the D&RGW to the Alaskan RR.

Nice that they got most back and are either in service or display.

 Thanks Ski.

Part II was great. It is the assault on the Toltec summit.

They got into about 3' of snow and both locomotives pushing hard up the grade.

WOW beautiful scenery.
