I discovered this via a YouTube channel I like and support, and while it’s pretty single purpose, it’s really well done.

There's always another different rig out there.

Nicely made.

Would love to see the inhabitants of the lower level ...... GSP's? GWP? or?

Better can you get his GPS tracking file instead.  :)  Our pursuits of the devil birds have only resulted in very long hikes this last season.

Ozzy, I would also like to see them.  I suspect they are Wirehairs, as he is an acquaintance of the folks at Ghost Point Wirehairs.   There were tons of birds along the Snake this year, but i didn’t do that well.  I did have a good time, and perhaps the best part was getting to shoot over my female without her shutting down.   It took a long time to get her over gun sensitivity, but the effort was worth it.  This was also the first year she backed Fritz, and that was a joy.

Dogs bring a different level of pleasure to upland. We haven't graduated to ownership yet  so seek out folks with them, Good to know Snake had them this year. Hopefully they will be there for next season too. We are slowly making our way east.... spent this season in the Deschutes/John Day canyons.

Because we are having a mild winter here, and assuming there is not a cold wet spring,  I expect to see good brood survival and numbers of birds this coming season.  If you haven’t scouted the areas around Condon and Heppner, spend some time in that area.  There are a number of Welcome to Hunt, and Permission to Hunt lands.  Talk to the ODFW folks in Heppner.  Take a good look at the Hanna-Arbuckle Road area.

Thanks for your vote for that area. I have multiple UCAP, A&H and BLM lands shortlisted for scouting before next season. Now just need to convince my teenager that it is more fun to go scouting than playing video games.
