We took the snow tires off the Lady's Subaru on Monday. The peach trees have blossomed. Snowed four inches Tuesday morning. Snowed a couple more inches this morning and forecast to continue through Thursday. Powder days in late April!

In this part of the world we don't have spring. Just a long, nasty extension of winter. What is that pink thing in the photo you posted?

That's the way it's turning out here this year. Seems to me you have the big salmon fly hatch coming up on the Deschutes in May. I do love those big redbands. That makes a good spring time treat for you! The pink things are all the peaches we're probably not going to have this fall now with the freeze.

Winter refuses to give in. Eight inches of snow overnight.

I think I've seen you running around the valley, rjones. you may be the rig I saw a few days after ordering my Hawk 2 Summers ago. I was the guy with his mouth agape and the wife nudging me hard saying "Is that what we're buying?" LOL. Keep em in the dark... heehee...

Yup..what a dump. Definitely a good check on the "1000 pound snow load" for the roof....

seconds after this pic...she was much lighter...believe me.

Here in Crested Butte we didn't get all of that snow, just a few inches. We did however have winds that made me think the roof was coming off the house all night! :o Toto didn't even want to go out last night before he settled in. That raises the question....What would it take for the wind to blow a camper off the jacks? Ugly thought, but something I thought about most of the night.
