Almost froze our butts off!
It was great to find such a nice place only a hour and a half from my house.
I have more pics if anyone wants to see them.

Here is a hint: this is looking at Mt. San Jacinto.Let's see, an hour and a half from Upland and yellow post. You got me stumped on the yellow post. More pics! How did the Eagle work out? Oh, four of my brothers graduated from Upland High.
We saw an older FWC, maybe an early Eagle on a Ranger.

I also had a heart attack in February and was told not to lift anything heavy
When I started doing the math and viewing other installations, I noticed that the struts appeared to be ever so slightly preventing the roof from full lift. I later found struts on Mcmaster Carr that were the perfect length and you can purchase any pound strut you need.
I made my own mounts, but they sell them too.
That said, due to the way the roof structure is run front to rear, if I did it again i would install them front and rear.
I installed my solar panel on aluminum angle that runs almost full width of the top to move the load to the sides.
I was also leery of some of the structural problems with the framing above the door opening so I didn't want to add any holes at that location.

Nice picture. How do the roof lifters work mounted on the sides vs each end? Early in the thread about roof lifters there was talk about the type of mount you have but no one had tried it that way.

All in all, very happy with all of my work. But I am a habitual tinkerer. The fold over bed is not working for me.Let's see, an hour and a half from Upland and yellow post. You got me stumped on the yellow post. More pics! How did the Eagle work out? Oh, four of my brothers graduated from Upland High.
I have already started plans for a dinette conversion.
