Hey guys,

I have been having a battle, similar to many of you guys here on the forum... I want to cook outside/lantern use. I am formerly a dedicated tent camper and on occaision when the better half isn't along, I resort to the tent for old times sake. I usually truck/tent camped, albeit way in the boonies, but with truck camping I had 20lb propane tank with me to run all my accessories. Now that I have a FWC, I don't want to take an extra tank to carry an external tank just to cook outside and have a nice background lantern. I went to my local propane part supplier and had a high pressure port rigged into my camper. I got a 25' high pressure hose which neatly coils up into the propane compartment when not in use. When I use the hose, I just run it under the truck to the passenger/awning side for cooking. I am so happy I am rid of the overpriced 1lb tanks. They are so overpriced and wasteful!!! (granted conveintient at times...). I'm quick happy with the set up. I'm sure may of you other FWC and ATC owners have something similar set up.

As an addition, I think the photo might be vague - the high pressure port is the top knurled cap closest to the propane tank. I can easily attach the hose to the top and run it outside.

I used it this weekend and its so much nice to not have to wrestle the tank out of the hatch, undo the tank, etc. Its not a huge burden but its much nicer now. I much prefer cooking outside than inside

I'll still carry another tank if its for a big group trip or a long trip, but for the shorter solo trips this is the only way to go.
