Nice write up, Ted. The birding is definitely intriguing. Anywhere that Magellan and Gene go must be worth exploration! We agree that springtime would be a great time to visit.

Andy, yes Spingtime is the best at Carrizo. Altitude is only a bit over 2,000 feet but check this snow we had last April:

So does that mean you're not gonna show us what was cookin' in that fancy oven Ted???

Nothing fancy in the oven, Sunman, but we did a fairly traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We did a turkey breast on the BBQ, crescent rolls in the oven, green beans on the other Partner stove burner, and gravy and mashed potatoes on the camper stove.

I have done cookies and brownies in the oven while camping. Still need to try pizza and some other things that are hard to do in camp.

Thanks for the report and photos, Ted. Although I've only been a couple of times, the Carrizo seemed like a bit of Nevada cut-and-pasted onto California. It's a very interesting place.
