Now that I placed the order for a Bobcat, mailed the check and spent countless hours thinking of all the little details I want to do and install in the camper, it occurred to me that I also have to prepare the truck.
FWC has some pictures of the eye bolts in the truck bed to attach the turn buckles. But what about ATC, what are the things to be done in order to install the camper?
I assume I will have to install the eye bolts somewhere in the truck bed. Who knows the position and size of these eye bolts?
What about the electric connections?
I ordered the Bobcat with the additional battery, what kind of wiring do I need there? Where does this enter the camper?
October 19th is the delivery date, it's still sooooooo far away. I have to do something to entertain myself meanwhile.

I assume you are picking it up or is it being shipped to you? If you are picking it up, ATC does all that for you. When I got mine, they took an hour to install the wiring, tuck it and zip tie it over the frame, drill the holes for the eyebolts and electric socket:eek: , install the eyebolts; and then I backed her up, tied her down and off I went. Not much to it.
If you are having it shipped, just ask Ben. I'm sure he will give you excellent instructions for doing above said stuff.

Brett covered it. We will do all that for you. If you need entertainment, just give me call. I can tell you funny stories all night long. Used to drink a lot in my younger days and had some adventures due to the quantity of alcohol consumed on many occasions.

I had a Line-X spay in liner installed before I had the camper installed. I haven't removed the camper to see how it is holding up so I can't vouch for the liner. But I thought it couldn't hurt. I haven't heard anything really bad about these liners. Maybe somebody else can add something.

Consider putting Rain-X on the truck rear window before installing the TC if you are going to leave it on.

Can't a guy use the OE tie down spots inside the box to tie the camper down instead of drilling holes in the box? I was under the assumption that these would be fine.

I asked Ben that a while back and he said no they were not strong enough. I thought he was full of it since I have put some serious strain on my factory hooks and they have been fine. I secured my camper to the factory bed hooks and they worked great, I thought "Ha, I was right" well....long story short the hooks are starting to bend and I now use the eye bolts through the bed. Turns out Ben knows what's up
