Hello fellow Alaskan owners. Does anyone have their Alaskan camper on a late model Ram Truck(2500 or 3500) with a short bed (6ft.)  How is the fit of camper?

I have my 8' NCO on a 2008 2500 short bed. Fits fine. Comes almost to end of tailgate when down. Same as the 10 footers on a full size bed.

I have not had any issues and that is how most do it.  I don't believe I have ever seen anyone not use the tailgate.

Mine is the same width for the whole length of the camper.  I would guess I have about two inches or so of space on each side of the camper between the wheel wells.  Some campers were built with additional storage across the back.  Those have to be modified to fit the newer truck beds.

That's what I am trying to find out. I have a 2003 8ft CO and want to know if I need to modify to use on a late model Dodge 2500 or 3500 with a 6 ft. Bed.

My camper is 48 3/4" wide at all points.  If yours is the same width then it should work fine.
