Hi, I just odered a new raven shell :)  (hopefully middle of May delivery to JHFWC) and was a little concerned about the eyebolts pulling throught and cracking the bed like I have read about on another post.

Would anyone be willing to share a pic of the new style backing plates on their tundra?  Are there any better options?  Do the newer style backing plates solve the problem?

Thanks!

I took a picture of my plates. I added a silver dollar to it for size comparison.

Thanks!  Does it still feel like you can "oilcan"  the bed when you pull on the bolt?

I didn't install the bolts. Denny at FWC of Jackson hole did it. My truck is a 05 Tundra DC.

I used 3x6x1/8 stainless plate (that's what I had) the factory uses aluminum. I installed a fender washer on top and a normal washer on bottom. I used forged 3/8 eye bolts with a 3/8 nyloc on the bottom. So far so good
