Purchased a new to me pop up camper in may '14...winter will be here sooner than we want...

Can anyone help me with winterizing my camper...I have a rooftop solar panel and a single interior battery...

What are the do's and don'ts of getting this ready of winter...i live in south lake tahoe...snow country.

I would appreciate any help that is offered..

If you don't have the owners manual for your year camper you may be able to acquire one at this link on the FWC website.

The primary concern is with removing the water so that it doesn't damage things when it expands, as water does when it freezes.  The owners manual has directions on how to remove the water.

You may have to deal with snow removal and/or battery maintenance, depending on you particular storage situation.  If you do not intend to use the camper for a period of time you might store the battery inside a heated space and maintain it's charge level.
