Per a suggestion, I'm starting this thread for my own information, as well as to avail information to others.

So, I got a killer deal on a very low mileage F-350, 4x4, 4 door truck. It currently has a steel/stake flat bed and all steel lift gate. I thought maybe the bed and lift gate might bring interest from buyers, but it seems maybe not.

I'm looking for a shop as close as possible to Los Angeles to help me remove the existing bed and replace it with an aluminum bed which would be suitable for installing a camper.

I contacted both ATC and FWC. They seemingly have no "go to" manufacturer they recommend. FWC's dealer in Jackson Hole does it, but that's a little too far away.

Or a chassis mount? I may have ruled this out, as the selection of such models seems limited to very pricy models.

I was planning a trip to FWC's "authorized dealer" in SoCal today to discuss in person, but alas, they aren't open on Sunday's.

Any thoughts or suggestions out there? Much thanks in advance.
