Re titled and moved so as to include everyone.

So I was just wondering who's going to the Expo at Mormon Lake in May and if you are, should we set up a WTW group camp? I'm planning on attending Mormon Lake in May, as well as the NW Overland Expo in June in Plain Wa. Should we circle the wagons, so to speak? Last year it was a dust bowl on the other side of the obstacle track. It'd be nice to have a decent space to set up in. The area surrounded by trees was reserved for the vendors and exhibitors. There is a Coccocino NF campground about a mile away called Dairy Springs which we could reserve too. It has pit toilets and maybe water plus it's set among the trees. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Did anyone here go to the Overland Expo last May, or before? What were your experiences like? Do you plan on attending the next one in May or the one in June in Washington ? Do you think you will sign up for any of the over landing courses or do you think you'll just check out all the exhibitors and vendors and meet old friends or make new ones? It's really great when someone you just met can share with you a new back road to experience and show you how to get there on your atlas.

I believer there are a large number of FWC and WTW followers that have gone.  I hope to some day.  Last fall my wife and I scheduled a vacation to Great Smoky Mountains.  We had scheduled the time from work and then the Overland East was scheduled.  Bummer.  Now my wife and I have a fall trip planned to Vermont, already paid for and the another Overland East will be missed.  We hope to make one of these during the next couple of years. From what i have read, everyone had a great time.  jd

I too was at the East Expo last October. It was an enlightening experience.

Here is a link to the Dairy Springs Campground in Cococino NF next to Mormon Lake and yes they have water too.

Somewhere on here is a writeup from one of the "regulars" on here about their exerience from a few years back.  Don't remember from who or how far back.  I'd guess at least a couple of years ago.  A search of the threads may get you the write up.  I did a quick and dirty one and only came up with yours.

Good luck :)

Hey Johnnyb welcome to WTW and I hope to see you there. I will most likely be the tallest person there and with dog.
