Like I said, back at it. Got the light bar done and still haven't had to use it… one of those things you won't use all the time but sure will be glad you have it when you need it. Especially down here - lots of cows and horses on the road at night!

 

Next on the list is the roof rack. I bought this Bobcat used and it had a factory aluminum rack that was all bent up.

I liked the simple design but the material just isn't strong enough. I got some stronger square tube aluminum and simply copied the design.

These racks are pretty strong and with eight screws holding them down I feel pretty confident. But, I'll be hauling SUPs and surfboards and maybe a kayak. Not that heavy but a lot of drag in the wind. So, next up is to weld the ends on and lag them into the edge of the roof. That should do it!
