From OR, it was down to Chico to My sister in laws house and a visit with the crazy cousins.

While in Chico, I snuck down to Woodland to the FWC factory to meet Mr. Stan Kennedy. He took time out to give me a thorough tour of the opperation there..WOW!!
They are pumpin them out! THank You Stan for the time you gave up for me, I appreciate it!

While in Chico, My brother in Law fell in love with my rig.

That was on a friday. We left Sat. morning for Home.
By the time I got home My Bro in law had been on the phone with Stan twice, and driven the new Tundra..

I hope He pulls the trigger!

The only two bummers we had on the trip were;
#1 the price of fuel, between $3.80 and$4.05.
#2 not Staying and getting to know The Fisherman better.
Even though it was my first creepy internet meeting, I felt like I made a new friend..

That's it!

Thanks for Riding along with us!

Now get out there and go somewhere, so I can ride along!

Hi Tomas,

Great trip and Report (and of course pictures:thumb:)

It is great that you took the time with your family to take pictures and share a report that takes time on your part for us to enjoy.

You inspire me to go on a trip and make it a point to capture the mood and sense of the trip, weather it be short or long.

Report very well done! Fantastic scenery! A trip worth doing.

I don’t think I would have gone down that muddy road with my truck either and I have a winch. Red mud white truck…..yuck! (I still have Utah mud under mine). Price of fuel is more but look at the memories your kids have now.

Empty coastline? Check.
Empty river camps? Check.
Family? Check.
Fish? Check.
Waves? Check.

Nice work Tomas.

Great write up and photo's. You have to admit that the Lost Coast is one awesome area. Heck, I'd still be living up there if it wasn't for the job market. Glad you and the family had a great time.:)

What a great trip report, you and your family are welcome in Whitethorn anytime you feel like mak'in the trip. When I look at your pics. I realize what a beautiful place this is. I guess we will be getting ready for a trip also, we'll be starting about 600 mi. west of Vancouver Island, it will probably end about 9 weeks later somewhere in your neighborhood depending on water temps. It's called Albacore fishing, no 4 Wheel Camper, but it's the ultamate camping trip none the less. I'm fairly sure I can come up with a pretty interesting report out of one of these fiascos.
