If you purchased 1000 shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49.00 today. If you purchased 1000 shares of AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today. If you purchased 1000 shares of Lehman Bros. one year ago, you're broke. But, if you purchased $1000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling, you would have recived a $214.00 refund and be passed out on a street corner, drunk. Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily and recycle. It's called the 401-KEG PLAN. Furthermore, a recent study found that the average American walks 900 mi. a year. Another study found that Americans drink, an average 22gal. of alcohol a year. If you do the right calculations, an average American gets about 41 mi. to the gallon! Doesn't that make you proud to be an American.

We took some money out of the market to buy a camper. Looks like it's depreciating at about the same rate as the initial investment.

And in a worst case scenario, I can still sleep in the camper!

Back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and, as required by law, tried to run it. They failed and it closed. Now we are trusting the economy of our country to a pack of nit-wits who couldn't make money running a whore house and selling booze?
