Hello,

It has been one wonderful year since I drove to Reno to pick up my Bobcat from Marty.  The guys did me very proud!!  I have a "mini dinette".  As you can see, I have the (normal) bench; then it can be converted into a small table; or it can be left open and a toilet can fit in the gap.  We love it!  I've camped in extremely cold windy weather, and it was great.  I have a portable evaporative cooler that I'm experimenting with.  I think I'll have to have a shore line to use it, but in New Mexico it's worth a try...

A  few more... The photo of several people inside was a day when it rained and 4 adults and one 6 year old grandson squeezed into the camper for tea and cards! Couldn't dance, but we were dry and happy! As is #1 grandson in the single photo of him!

I'm thinking about how to carry kayaks on top of the camper. The factory rack is not high enough to get the kayak over the vents. Any suggestions out there?

I carried a canoe for years and many unused miles.

I have the factory rack but connected a aluminum "track" the length of the camper.

Connected to the front and rear rack.

With a wheel on the front of the canoe that rolls along the track that has stops at the front.

Then a stop on each side at the bar near the vent cover and ratchet straps to tie it down.

I think you can find a photo in my travel blog probably the 2011 Denali trip and 2012 Yellowstone trip, has some shots of the canoe on the camper.

It work well kept the canoe from moving around on the rack even during windy times of a blast of air from a passing semi.

I was able to carry kayaks on the factory rack on my old FWC Ranger using a Yakima saddle and hully rollers. The old Yakima mounts worked on either round or square bars and worked on the factory bars as well. If I was buying today, I would look at the Malone SeaWing.

The mounts raised the kayak above the height of the rack crossbar. Plus I mounted them to the outside of the vent...
