We have done this tour twice now...For some reason (probably the kid in me) loves the sound of Big block jet boats and white water. Adults and your kids or grand-kids will love it.
On your next visit to the Oregon Coast too. Go to Gold Beach and tour the Rogue River in one of "Jerry's Rogue Jets ". A 6 hour round trip in a open boat powered by 3 big block V8's and Berkley jet drives is an absolute blast.
The best seats if you want to stay somewhat dry are in the middle of the last row below the Pilots box. During the summer the temp is in the mid '90's. You will get hot so the boat captain will cool you off when he does his 360's. The tour goes into white water as far east as you can go in a boat.
Cost is $100 (2017) and you want to take the 12 noon trip which keeps you in the sun and dry's you off quicker and gets you back to the dock at 6:30 pm.
We stay at the Oceanside RV park which is a 2 block walk to Jerry's office. The tours fill up quick in the summer so make your reservation the day before when you arrive.
