If you’re referring to the Kelley Point Park in Portland, it’s now closed to motor vehicles.  I have not been there in a very long time, so can’t answer your question, apologies for that.

The roads south of Mt Dellenbaugh (North of Kelly Point) were some of the roughest I think I'd ever seen when I did some work out there in the early 2000s. The NPS isn't prone to maintain dirt roads with any real regularity, so I would assume the roads are still very rough and slow going.

All that said, Kelly Point is on my list. Please share your experience if you go. October is a great time to be on the AZ Strip!

Thanks,

Should have been a little more clear. Was indeed talking about Kelly Point in Grand Parashant area.

Videos look intense, but seems pretty sparse people wise.

Will post up something if i can swing another trip this year.

My buddy did it with his 1978 K10/Phoenix camper back in 2016.  Key things I remember him telling me is the brush is very overgrown, or at least is was when they went to it due the lack of traffic.  Expect desert pin striping.  It's not technical off road driving otherwise, but it is VERY remote.

Here's a link to his trip report over on CK5.
