Thanks for the info Mike. I'm back in warm climate now so it will be a while before I'm back in the mountains but I'm going to try to re-route the lines inside along the drain. I do like the idea of draining the lines and turning off the pump. Good to know that works in a pinch!

I ended up re-routing the lines inside the camper on my 850SC. It's not cold enough to freeze the lines yet so I'm not sure how effective it is but I imagine it's going to make a big difference.

I know this is an older post, but it would be nice to know the outcomes of the OP and others who attempted to improve their freezing water lines.  I am considering an 850SC and this info would be invaluable.
