Jeff,
The markers were placed wherever we crossed the emigrant trail. The have quotes taken from emigrant diaries that refer to the specific location where the markers are located. I don't recall the one DD posted but here are a few we came across. The first is from Mud Meadows Reservoir and the other three are from the route to High Rock Reservoir.

I wonder if I"m still a member of trails west. Had the intention of getting active with them and helping with those markers before I lost my job. Its a fairly small group of people that do that.
