Hello! I've not posted a trip report before. First time for everything, like my White Rim adventure!

We left Moab March 28th and entered the trail via Shafer. It had one switchback with snow and ice still. Was a little bit terrifying, but took it inch by inch and made it through.

Drive was great to the Airport campsite where we had a permit for two nights. Stopped by Musselman Arch for a bit. The views from this trail are just epic, even for someone who goes to the desert a lot. The two nights at Airport allowed for some great hiking in the vicinity, mostly Lathrop Canyon.

After two nights we then drove on to White Crack for one night at the campsite. The drive was rainy and snowy, but for the most part was just a beautiful drive. Actually thought the moisture made the colors all very different than most desert trips. Was very cool.

Wow!! WC was a super cool site, but was very very windy. We arranged our campers the best we could to shield us from the wind, but holy moly it was gusty. We still managed to hike around the site and on the white cliffs.

After the third night we were out of permits and needed to make the drive all the way out. Was a pretty long 6 hour trek but was really fun. We were very glad we didn't have wet weather for Murphy's Hogback or Hardscrabble, as those are legit climbs and required 4 Lo and a beer at the top. Saw some fishtailing tracks on both climbs from the day before and were thankful we didn't see cars off the road.

Epic trail, can't wait to do it again!!!!! 2021 Tundra, Firestone Airbags, 2017 Hawk, BFG T/A KO2 for the ride.

Wow, this is great!  I was just in Moab for the first time a few weeks ago.  Was with my brother who has a Jeep Rubicon so we were on some technical stuff.  But I had my eyes on returning with my 2005 Tundra/Fleet to do the White Rim.

It doesn't look like you have any lift, and neither do I.  Did you have any clearance or 4WD issues?  I'm stock 4WD and have BFG KO2 tires.

No lift. Did nick the skid plates a couple times. Nothing serious. I have skids from: https://valhallasshields.com/.

Thanks for the report. I did the trail in my Fleet along with two other pop-up campers (4 humans total) early April 2017. No snow, but pretty chilly. Great trip.

Great trip. Great photos. I think you were smart to go when you did. It's just too crowded in Summer.
