Our friends, the Sagebrush Reconnoiter & his wife celebrate their anniversary every year with a meal at the Martin Hotel in Winnemucca.

 

A similar establishment is the Niles Hotel in downtown Alturas, California.

By pure coincidence I have eaten at the Utah and Hawaii restaurants.

My wife's family Cady from the late 1600s had a inn/tavern in Malone NY

close to the Canada border.It was in business through several generations

and fires until the mid 1800s.I think all that's left now are some rubble walls.

Back in 2005 we tried to locate it while on a trip through that area but no luck.
