I really hope you guys weren't doing any drinking out there. You know what we think about that round here
I did see the camel racer have a cowboy margarita (the bottle)

Swimmin' hole? You guys didn't upset any fishermen, did you?
I saw no drinking of alcoholic substances except for the just post siesta beers. I did note that the guys had cleaned up from whom ever camped there last as they left several bottles behind. Always leave it better than you found it, right?
The road up to the ridge line was as rough as I have ever seen it.
We decided that as interested as we were in seeing the point that TT mentioned, we were less than interested in finding out what the occupants of the white jeep-thing were doing over there. So we left it for another trip.
Was the white 4 door PSD still semi-off the trail when you guys pulled out? Overheated their auto trans (was their oil trail all the way up the hill) and that's where they finally ran out of fluid. They were looking at a cold night on the hill sans blankets/sleeping bags/etc. until we came along and gave the guy and his wife a lift back into Ojai where they live. Since they didn't appear to own a second capable vehicle I'm wondering if and how they were able to get back up there to it. The guy told me that once cooled off and with about a gallon of more ATF that it would again be mobile. Is supposedly a known problem with the 7.3 autos?
Where does that road go?

We too were curious about the white jeep. They weren't back there very long and left not long after you.

Pictured below is a view of Topa Topa, our camp overlooking Ojai, Santa Paula, Ventura, Oxnard and the SB channel and our protectors Dylan and Gunner.

I've been intending to go up there and have a look around, and specifically at that camp area, for a very long time. Being able to meet new folks just cinched my resolve.
So now when are we going to be able to get you into the area?
