I find it more irritating that the over seas market is knocking out much nicer caravan/camper type stuff (appliances, power dist, etc.) that is hard/expensive to get over here.
It's expensive in Europe as well.

Right but if some state side manufacturers picked up on a few things we might see better costing and at least not have to import/ship them in.

We saw one of the small travel trailers in DV and looked them up. They make a number of pruducts using aluminum framing.
