This is a link to my photography blog about our trip over the Cascades to the Methow Valley. Highway 20 or the North Cascades Highway was late to open this year due to the tremendous snowfall in the mountains this year. We did scout a few camping spots for when we venture over again in the fall for foliage photos of the aspen and the tamracks. I am too lazy to post a separate trip report so I hope the blog will suffice.

Where the Methow River flows out of the Pasayten Wilderness is one of my favorite places. Thanks for awakening the memories.

It's been way too many years since I've been up in the Okanagan National Forest area. Your blog reminds me that I need to get back there again.

Thank-you both for looking. We don't live that far away so should have been over to the dry side more often. It takes about 4-5 hours if you drive straight through depending on traffic. But we always like to make a few stops along the way. I hope you both get to return. There are so many places to wander in the west.

Nice weblog. I am big fan of RRS also. Thom Hogan had it right: Get the best and know you don't have to upgrade in the future at greater expense ;) However, I am a Canon man so I hope you don't hold that against me. :D
