They seem to have lots of little campervans to rent, also thinking of doing in on a motorcycle. I did drive across the Nullarbor Plain and the Great Ocean Road, from Melbourne to Perth on a Suzuki 650 and that was cool. Any thoughts or experiences?

Back a few years the wife and myself spent 6 months in Australia.
started out in Sydney,New South Wales and traveled up the coast to Cooktown.
Then back down inland.
Did it self contained on bicycle's,one of the best trips we have ever done
by any means.
If we did it again we would do what we did on a trip to New Zealand and
that is to buy a used camper van used it for 6 months then sold it to
another traveler.
With the distances in Australia a camper van would let you go and stay
longer in some of the remote areas.
we to have traveled by motorcycle and believe it or not we enjoyed
the trips by bicycle more, but you must have the time or you will never
get in the zone, which is hard to explain.
As with almost all of our travels any long trips we never put a time frame ,as to
when we must be on a daily basis, this means we never make reservations, because
then you are owned by the clock!
Going on another trip to Australia is still on our list, that is if we do not run out of time!
Keep us informed on your trip.
