I'm sure his insurance will cover the damage. NOT.

Not an update to my travels but thought it would be worth posting here rather than starting a new thread.   I think I could put this beauty to use. Short wheel base, 4x4, good ground clearance, diesel, etc., etc.  Just a concept vehicle at this point and god only knows what the cost would end up being but one can drool and dream.

Here's what I hate, ok dislike, as hate's a strong word, about the corridor between Portland and Seattle....friggin traffic and people.  Saving grace is that just a short distance,  east or west, of this cement slab one can find ample solitude and scenery.   Deciding I needed some of each, we planned to leave on Wednesday.....

Beautiful scenery in that neck of the woods.  Even a quick trip is better than none at all.

Thanks for posting!

Park, it looked like someone had you custom fit for that shovel, no wonder you need a few days away. Have fun!

+1 on that.  Was hoping for more nights out but when the crapper backs up something has to be done.

It was a miserable, stinking job!  I'm much too pretty to be doing manual labor!  :D

Well, Petey and I, are gonna get back out on the road for a few weeks again.  About time!  I'll be headed down to Arizona and possibly Baja but nothing is set in stone.  As usual, I don't really have anywhere specific to be.  I'm just going.  I then have to return to Tacoma for a month before going back out on the road for 4-5 months.  More on this later as it will be a combination of work and exploring.  I got a sweet deal and can't wait to hit the road at the end of Feb.  Will be exploring some areas back east that I've never been to before. I was hoping that some other adventurous souls on here might give me some must see things en-route on this short trip down south. My plan is to go down towards the Oregon Coast and then along the Lost Coast area in Northern California.  From there down through California before cutting over somewhere to Az/Baja. Having been to these areas several times over the years I always seem to find something new and interesting.   Others always seem to know some good areas and can make recommendations.  I'm open to anything.  Hope everyone has a great New Year and it includes lots of roaming around "With Nowhere to Be".

Petey will take all suggestions into consideration once he recovers from his numerous nap sessions:

One last opportunity to take off for a week or so before heading east in late February.  More on this trip later but it will consist of being on the road for about four months.  Tiffany had a business trip down to Arizona last week so Petey and I decided to head down to the Lost Coast in Northern California for some roaming about time.  Having been several times it is the highlight of the west coast area.  Always a gamble to go this time of the year due to the weather but we figured what the hell, how bad can it be...........
