Smattering of rain here this morning as Norbert's remains are lifted over the high country.

I'm not sure my insurance would cover that but it sure looks like fun!

I heard an interview with a  meteorologist on a Sacramento newscast this morning that said the predicted El Nino event will not be significant and California will most likely have a fourth year of drought.  :(

Thanks Ski for being the bearer of that "good" news.

Hope they are wrong!

I bet the meteorologist is pleading, "Don't shoot the messenger," also.

Another sign of end of summer approaching:  I don't leave the windows in my house wide open at night.

With lows now in the 40s a lot of nights I just leave a couple of windows open a bit.

Still low to mid 90's in the day here. Pleasant 60's in the evening.

Starting to drop into the 40's at night in the Sacramento Mts., too. But the sure sign that autumn is approaching is the Huntsman spiders are starting to move indoors. Mice will be next.
