A favorable forecast from the front porchometer. An indication of smooth seas for tomorrow. They finally lifted the trap restrictions in our zone. Hoping to feel the need for an abundance of lemon and butter.

They are marching into the pots! Pulled up 8 of the crusty little critters after a quick 1 1/2 hour soak. :)

Congrats! That is a nice haul. Did you bring the butter & the crab pot?

All boiled, buttered and devoured. This time of year they are at their peak of density and sweetness. Left the pots out and will check again in the morning. Next round goes to crab cakes, crab cocktails, crab fondue and my wife makes a mean spicy crab dip. After that the rest of the season harvest get boiled and frozen for crab dishes throughout the year.

My family gets to a point where they never want to see another crab.

Until next season. Then we do it all again :)

Thanks!

We convinced 30 more to come home with us today. Caught 56 but had to let some go to comply with limits. One overnight soak and I think we are good for the year. Freezer full, my work here is done.
