I finally (4th time is a charm) got a hold of a Sure Power Tech person that actually understood or had experience with the camper that is NOT connected to the truck!

He had me adding more and more and more load to the camper battery to see if the 1314 relay will de-energize at about 12.25 volts.

I finally had lots of stuff connected to drop the batter voltage down to 11.92 volts... still no relay de-energized.

So, off to call Ben.

Mike,

If you need a new separator, just give us a call and I will send one right out to you.

Per our telephone call, please send a new separator sometime this week (no hurry).

You are supposed to receive it on Monday.

Well, I will not be home for a few days.

Monday, July 28, I got a call from my daughter that her baby is coming early Tuesday, July 29, instead of August 7.

So, after a 15 hour over night drive, I am here in the Gastonia NC hospital with my new grand daughter... 6 lbs 2 oz, 19 inches.

And, she was born on MY birthday, the only good news about turning 60.

I received the new 1314 battery separator from Ben a few weeks ago as promised, but I have been working on my honey-do-list.

Yesterday, I replaced the old 1314 with the new 1314 and was pleased the new 1314 did not energize when the truck is not connected.

Then I noticed the new 1314 did not energize no matter what I did!

See if you can figure out what the problem is with the NEW 1314 from the attached pixs.

P.S. Sure Power (not Ben) is sending me a new 1314.

Good eye fisherman.

I agree, they stuck the wrong coil on the relay. Call for another one. I checked my 1315 just to be sure.

flinchlock,
With your luck, I hope you don't buy lottery tickets.
