Great in seeing the ISS.

We got to see a few years ago here at home.

We were watching local news when the weatherman

came on he said the ISS would be visible in a few minuets.

Went outside and there it was coming out of the SW headed NE.

We don't get many clear sky's here with the fog,but have been watching Saturn/Jupiter.

Monday they should be in conjunction hope the sky is clear.

Thanks for another great story.

Frank

Love the color in the canyons. One thing our guide mentioned in Panamint was the dolomite mine nearby had "medical grade" dolomite. Whatever that means :)

Thank You Mr. Ski!

DVNP was a possible destination for us for the next two weeks. While we are sad that our plans have changed, it was great to see more of the area through your travels.

Me, too.

Tums in the wild.

Low amounts of toxic metals, apparently.

For use after that spicy BBQ burro, I guess.

:P

Thanks Frank! Yup, we were watching Jupiter and Saturn getting a little closer to each other both nights. Jupiter was usually the first "star" to appear each night. The pictographs are painted with a red pigment.

Another great start to your trip story.

It's always amazing the amount of rock art the "native" people created.

The red art work in the cave with the "eyes",has that been painted on?

Thanks for the ride.

Frank

Ski, it was due to your (and others) DV trip reports that convinced this Easterner to first go there a few years ago. We were completely fascinated with the area and realized that we had only scratched the surface.

We will be going back in a year or two so I thank you for reports ....

Another wonderful TR and pics - thanks!!

Thanks guys! We know we'll continue wandering in Death Valley. :)
