There are hard side out there will, I have a 2015 pastime 700fds on my 02 Tundra and handles it fine on and off-road but I have done a few mods to help.
Welcome to the cult PNW.
Would you post some photos of your camper.
I also have a 02 Tundra and would like to see
some other options.
Thanks
Frank

Guess all my pics are to big to post
Thanks for the pic. If you get a choice of pic size usually a medium or large works.

For an 8' T100 and 1st Gen Tundra, the old FWC Ranger 8' seems like it was designed specifically for these trucks. The length is nice and the width is just about perfect for these trucks. It hardly sticks out past the cab widthwise.
I have one on my 6.5' T100 4x4 with the tailgate down which isn't ideal, especially with where the rear axle is. For truck mods, I have a custom leaf pack and shocks.

I have an '01 Tundra with a FWC Fleet Shell on it, and I love it. It's a new setup for me, so I'm still getting everything dialed, but so far it's been great. I did put a set of Firestone airbags on the rear, and have Bridgestone AT KO2 tires. The truck rides great, and still has plenty of power.
I had the Fleet on a 2014 Tacoma for a minute, and it really wasn't very fun on there. While it's technically "small" for the Tundra, I actually like that it's a little lighter than the Hawk.
Hope that helps give some perspective!
