Well, since you've seen the light, remember what Suzuki Roshi sez:
"Life is like stepping onto a boat which is about to sail out to sea and sink".

Might as well eat fine food and drink good brews while you're still afloat :)

And, too, in 95%-Buddhist Thailand (and elsewhere southern/SE Asia), where monks traditionally "beg" for food/offerings (Dāna) from people, they eat whatever they're offered -- including meat!
