$1.799 per gallon for 87 octane in Circle Pines, MN.
Gas prices in Nebraska during my wandering in October varied from $2.18 to $2.25.

Filled 2 jerry cans to run my generator during the recent psps. $3.29 gal here, too.
$3.07 in Redding on my way to McCloud last week.
$2.49 in Ely Nv on 10/1.

$1.739/gal in Dallas, TX, on October 26.
Based on my experience last year, I expect there are, will be, lower prices along the Gulf of Mexico. We'll see in a few weeks.

darn glad we fill the 500 gallon propane tank in the late fall before cold temps and storm take out the rest of the country and drive the price way up.
