What is the issue with the Froli system for the extended Queen bed?

We have a 2009 Keystone with extended Queen size bed.  We sleep side to side.  Since the camper is large enough for both of us to move around and sit on the couch with the bed extended we just leave it that way all the time.

The current 4" mattress cushions are barely OK so we want to improve them.  We are presently able to leave our double sleeping bag on the bed when we lower the top and it closes nicely.  I think we could add another 1" or so before closing the top sufficiently become an issue.

One possible solution is the Froli system.  Another is a thin (no more then 1 1/2" to 2") mattress topper.  We are not sure which way to go yet.

We just put a mattress topper on our 4" (hard foam) Hawk mattress.  It adds an inch plus, and we also use a down comforter.  We haven't taken it out for a trip yet, but it feels pretty good, checking it out in my driveway!

Got an Exped MegaMat for my wife. After trying several different pads/toppers, this one finally did the trick.

I second you soughdough. I have this system in my XPC. It comes standard and after sleeping on it I can't go back. Another plus is there is now air circulating under the foam pad, this keeps moister from accumulating under the mattress.

Very nice rig you have!
