I saw the following Pop Up Thread on Expedition Portal.   An interesting read...

I read it earlier today. He was much calmer than I would have been. I wonder how much he paid? Paint looked really bad, I have seen better rattle can jobs. Cabinets, canvas and most of the inside looks like a used camper on CL and not a new one.

One of the replies summed it up:

"I now know what brand of camper I'm not going to buy. Thanks, Ron."

I read it too. I would be pissed if i paid that much for that camper. Looks like crap.

I still can't understand how someone who researched for 3 years could not order it closer to what they needed, a fancy table with a picture of the U.S. that doesn't get used ? shower too small to use ? outdoor shower in the wrong place ? A heater that doesn't get used and he said he found the same heater for $20 online ?

The Magnusson Moss Act gives RV owners recourse to warranty issues.

I read that too.

I compared the major players here at the show in Denver and the Phoenix came in dead last, in my opinion.

The fit and finish on the show model wasn't great.

Too bad he didn't he didn't find us.....

Wow. Though I bought mine before I found either WTW or expo. Leaks at purchase would be a deal breaker for me.

In my research...before and after Expo and WTW... it seemed there was a 50/50 chance you'd get a good one.  That isn't the first story like that I've read.  What I don't get is others are 100% happy.  How does that happen?

Me to!-found the FWC site ----during my research and they sent me their  dvd tape---and that really sold me, made an appointment with them, went down with check book in hand and my credit union contract ready and that was it-five months later I was adventuring!

What I found interesting was how he had to make final payment sight unseen before he picked it up.  For some reason I find this to be outragous.  All the risk was on him.  At the very least I would have made them repaint it and get me the correct fabric.  If I paid for it, I expect it delivered the way I expected it or for them to make it right soon after.  The leaking and warranty is a whole other can of worms.
